Adam Brand Signs US Deal With Sony Music

Another Australian artist has now scored a US deal. Adam Brand has inked a record deal with Sony Music Nashville. 

This deal comes to Brand following a year of highlights starting in January when he was named 2009 CMAA Male Artist Of The Year, CMC’s OZ Artist Of The Year and becaming the first country music artist to appear on Channel 7’s Dancing With The Stars.

Compass Bros Records remains Brand’s Australian record company.
 
His latest album Hell Of A Ride is in stores now.
 

Steve Forde Gets US Record Deal

Steve FordeABC Music artist Steve Forde has been signed to new US record label Stroudavarious Records.

Stroudavarious Records is headed by award winning US producer and former Universal Music Group Nashville co-CEO James Stroud. Stroud has produced albums that have collectively sold over 52 million copies worldwide.

Forde's first single in the US will be released later this year.

After releasing three albums independently and becoming a channel host for the Country Music Channel, Forde signed a record deal locally with ABC Music in early 2007.

The announcement of this US deal follows the releases of his self-titled album in September 2007 and his latest album Guns & Guitars last October. The later album topped the ARIA Australian Artist Country Albums Charts. 

“Steve Forde champions the ideals of rural Australia's youth with his songs and live show. In creating this niche for himself he's continued to build a career both locally and now in the US as well. This announcement is very exciting and a great reward for the years of dedication Steve has committed to his music career,” said Robert Patterson, Head of ABC Music. 

This news follows the signing of fellow ABC Music artist Shea Fisher to the same US label earlier this year.

Shea Fisher Signs US Deal & Releases 'Don't Chase Me'

Shea FisherShea Fisher is the latest local recording artist to be signed to a US label.

Shea is the first female signed to Stroudavarious Records, which is headed by award winning US producer James Stroud. Stroud has produced albums that have collectively sold over 52 million copies worldwide..

Her second album was recorded with US producer Richard Landis, with the assistance of Steve Forde last year. after she was invited to perform at the CMA Global Artist party during CMA Music Festival week last June.

Shea flew to Los Angeles in December 2008 to film the music video for the new album's first single ‘Don't Chase Me'. The clip was filmed by acclaimed US director Trey Fanjoy, who has also recently directed clips for Keith Urban and Taylor Swift in the US.

Shea Fisher’s new album Shea will be released in Australia on March 20, 2009 through ABC Music/Universal Music Australia.
