Dancing With The Stars

Adam Brand Wins Dancing With The Stars

Following his signing to Sony Music in Nashville, Adam Brand last night became the 2009 Dancing With The Stars champion.

Brand was visibly shocked when announced as the winner. He’d considered himself a long shot and was well aware that he was not the strongest dancer on the show. But the judges fell in love with his larrikin personality, his persistence and his supreme talent as an entertainer. And the public, both existing fans and the many that he won over every week, voted hard.

Accepting the award Adam reflected on his time on the show with a reference to his young nephew Harrison.

At the start of this competition I said it doesn’t matter what they do to me, they can put me in high heels and a ballerina dress for all I care because the reason I said yes and wanted to do this was where the money went, to charity. I lost my little nephew a couple of years back, so every step, every awkward move that I’ve done it doesn’t matter… because he’s up there watching. This is for little Harry, for my little nephew!”
