Jasmine Rae, Kasey Chambers, Keith Urban, Shane Nicholson and Troy Cassar-Daley have been nominated for 2011 ARIA Awards With just over six weeks until the 25th Anniversary ARIA Awards, the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) today announced the Nominees of the 2011 ARIA Awards to be held on Sunday, 27 November, 2011.

Australian country music was well represented in the list of nominees, with Kasey Chambers nominated for Best Female Artist for her album Little Bird and Keith Urban nominated for Highest Selling Australian Album and Most Popular Australian Artist for Get Closer.

Both country artists were also nominated for Best Country Album, alongside Jasmine Rae for Listen Here, Shane Nicholson for Bad Machines and Troy Cassar-Daley for Live.

The McClymonts tonight won their first ever ARIA Award in the category of Best Country Album, for their album Wrapped Up Good. 

Recorded in Nashville, the album has harnessed the talents of Taylor Swift’s producer, Nathan Chapman. Wrapped Up Good soared to the #2 position on the ARIA Album Sales Charts when released in January this year. Lee Kernaghan, Adam Harvey, Catherine Britt and Jason Walker were the other catagory nominees.

The nominees for Australia's recording industry awards, the 2010 ARIA Awards have been announced. And the nominees for "Best Country Album" are;

Catherine Britt - Catherine Britt
Jason Walker - Ceiling Sun Letters
Lee Kernagahn - Planet Country
The McClymonts - Wrapped Up Good

The awards are held on Sunday November 7, however the country award winner will be announced in the week prior on a date to be advised. 

Troy Cassar-Daley last night won the ARIA award for Best Country Album (for I Love This Place) at the 2009 ARIA Awards at Acer Arena in Sydney.

The night included a guest performance from Robbie Williams, with Keith Urban opening the show with his song 'Kiss A Girl'. 

Empire Of The Sun were the big winners on the night taking home four awards for Album Of The Year,  Single Of The Year, Best Group and Best Pop Release.

The 2009 ARIA Awards nominations have been announced and the nominees in the BEST COUNTRY ALBUM category are;

* Jasmine Rae - Look It Up
* Keith Urban - Defying Gravity
* Felciity Urquhart - Landing Lights 
* Shane Nicholson - Familar Ghosts
* Troy Cassar Daley - I Love This Place

Shane Nicholson won the award last year with wife Kasey Chambers for their album, Rattlin Bones, while Keith Urban won the award in 2007 and Troy Cassar-Daley in 2006.

For Jasmine Rae, it's her first ARIA Award nomination with her ARIA #5 debuting album, Look It Up. It's also the first nomination for Felicity Urquhart, whose album Landling Lights has been critically aclaimed.
