Guys, Girls, Guitars & Bars Tour Announced

McAlister Kemp, Kirsty Lee Akers and Liam Brew have put together a brand new country tour across New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria - which will be known as the Guys, Girls, Guitars & Bars Tour.  It will be opened each night by up and comer Chelsea Basham.

The first four dates of the tour have been annouced and the tour starts at Rooty Hill RSL on May 8 in Sydney.

The McClymonts & McAlister Kemp Score Sensational Debuts

The McClymonts have scored one of the best chart results for a country act in a long time, with their new album Wrapped Up Good debuting at #2 on the ARIA Album sales charts (all genres). Only Susan Boyle, who has the highest selling album for many years in Australia, stopped them from hitting the #1 spot.

Following the result, the girls thanked their fans via their facebook page saying, "Thank you to everyone who went out and bought the new record,you have made us reach this huge feat and we appreciate all the support you have shown us. We Love you!!"

Meanwhile, McAlister Kemp have debuted at #8 on the ARIA Country Chart and #18 on the ARIA Australian Albums chart (all genres) with there debut albums, All Kinds Of Tough.

The new duo only released their debut single at the end of November last year and the result suggests they have a big future in country music.

Drew McAlister and Troy Kemp are Australia's hot new country duo McAlister Kemp. There debut single 'All Kinds Of Tough' and will be available on iTunes from November 20, 2009.

McAlister Kemp's debut album All Kinds Of Tough is in stores January 15, 2010 through ABC Music/Universal Music Australia.

ABC Music have announced the signing of emerging male country duo, McAlister Kemp.

McAlister Kemp is the bringing together of two talented artists in their own right - Drew McAlister and Troy Kemp. Both are born and bred country boys. Drew was born in Narrabri and raised in Moree and Troy born and raised in Kempsey.
 
The duo met when both were cast to perform in “Aussie’s Walk The Line - A Tribute To Johnny Cash”. The pair found that not only did they gel as songwriters but their voices blended effortlessly as a duo.
 
McAlister Kemp are exclusively represented by Linda Chamarette and the team at Crossroads Touring Company and the deal with ABC Music follows the independent release their first single ‘Blue Collar Night’, produced by Adam Brand, earlier this year.
 
“We're thrilled at being given the opportunity to work with ABC Music, they're a label that is synonymous with quality music in Australia”, said McAlister Kemp

McAlister Kemp are currently recording their debut album with producers Mett Fell and Adam Brand and their yet to be titled debut album will be released through ABC Music/Universal Music Australia on January 15, 2009.
