Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band have topped the nominations for the 45th annual Academy of Country Music Awards, which were announced by Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton last night.

The star-packed lineup for The 43rd Annual CMA Awards, promted as "Country's Biggest Night" grows even stronger with the announcement today that Dave Matthews will join previously announced performer Kenny Chesney for a special guest perfromance.
Chesney and Matthews will perform "I'm Alive," which they recorded together for Chesney's Lucky Old Sun album through Sony Music.
Other performers already announced include Jason Aldean, Brooks & Dunn, Billy Currington, Vince Gill and Daughtry, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, George Strait, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and Zac Brown Band. The awards will be hosted by Paisley and Underwood and airs live from the Sommet Center in Nashville on the Country Music Channel (CMC) in Australia on November 12.

The final list of nominees for "The 43rd Annual CMA Awards" features fresh faces in 10 of the 12 CMA Awards categories with new artists layered throughout the finalist field, the continued dominance of the established superstars, and crossover favorites making huge gains in 2009.
The biggest counry music festival on the planet, the annual CMA Music Festival in Downtown Nashville has just finished up.
Australian artists appearing at the festival included The McClymonts, Shea Fisher, Kirsty Lee Akers, Dianna Corcoran and Peter McWhirter.
Festival goers enjoyed four nights of stadium shows from many of US country's biggest stars.
The final night included performances from Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, John Rich, Sugarland and Miranda Lambert.
